By accessing or using MyCampusPal, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and all applicable laws and regulations. If you do not agree with any of these terms, you are prohibited from using the app.
2. Description of Service
MyCampusPal is a student productivity and academic assistance application that provides:
- AI-powered study assistance (Omini AI)
- Note-taking and organization tools
- Schedule and task management
- Community features and campus pulse
- Focus and productivity tools
- Study materials and resources
3. User Accounts
To use MyCampusPal, you must:
- Be at least 16 years of age
- Provide accurate and complete registration information
- Maintain the security of your account credentials
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
- Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
4. Subscription & Payments
MyCampusPal offers free and premium (MyCampusPal+) subscription tiers:
- Free tier provides basic access to core features
- MyCampusPal+ provides unlimited access to all premium features
- Payments are processed securely through Paystack
- Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled before the renewal date
- Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis
By subscribing to MyCampusPal+, you authorize us to charge your selected payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel your subscription.
5. Omini AI Usage
When using Omini AI, you agree to:
- Use it for legitimate educational purposes only
- Not use it to generate content that violates academic integrity policies
- Not upload illegal, harmful, or inappropriate content
- Understand that AI responses may not always be accurate
- Verify important information independently
AI Disclaimer
Omini AI is a tool to assist learning, not replace it. AI-generated content should be used as a starting point for understanding, not as final answers. Always verify information and maintain academic honesty.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree NOT to:
- Violate any applicable laws or regulations
- Infringe on intellectual property rights
- Harass, abuse, or harm other users
- Share inappropriate or offensive content
- Attempt to hack, disrupt, or exploit the app
- Create fake accounts or impersonate others
- Use the app for commercial purposes without authorization
- Scrape or extract data from the app
7. Intellectual Property
MyCampusPal and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by MyCampusPal and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
Content you create within the app (notes, tasks, etc.) remains your property. By uploading content, you grant us a license to store and display it within the app.
8. Limitation of Liability
MyCampusPal is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for:
- Data loss or service interruptions
- Inaccurate AI-generated content
- Academic consequences from app usage
- Third-party service failures
- Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
9. Account Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you:
- Violate these Terms of Service
- Engage in fraudulent or illegal activities
- Abuse our services or other users
You may also delete your account at any time through the app settings or by contacting support.
10. Changes to Terms
We may modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms. We will notify users of significant changes.
11. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Nigeria, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
